Visitor Rules

Illness: For the benefit of all patients, we ask that you delay your visit if you are ill, even with a common cold.

Children: All visiting children should be supervised by an adult at all times. Please avoid bringing children who are even mildly ill to Mary Free Bed to visit.

Food: Food is available from the Saint Mary’s Cafeteria. Due to the Michigan Public Health Food Code, the only food items that may be brought to patients at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital are those prepared by a restaurant or by Saint Mary’s Cafeteria. Homemade meals and baked goods are not allowed.

Smoking policy: In compliance with the Michigan Clean Indoor Act and the standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, Mary Free Bed's campus is smoke free. This policy was adopted out of concern for the health and well-being of all our patients and employees. Our smoke-free policy applies to all employees, patients, visitors, vendors, and contractors. We appreciate your attentiveness and cooperation with this policy.
