My wife Judy and I have three children, seven grandchildren and two great children.
When I was 24, I had an industrial accident that resulted in the amputation of my left hand. But I did not let this keep me from my love of fishing and hunting. My guns and poles were adapted to accommodate different situations in the field and on the water. I also enjoyed golfing and did so for many years. At age 50, my right shoulder was surgically rebuilt, forcing me to give up strenuous activity and turn to other interests.
In 2009, I was encouraged to show my photographs in the Mary Free Bed Fine Arts Exhibition and I continue to participate. I never leave home without my camera and take many day trips in search of the perfect photo opportunity.
