June's Story
June DeWind’s artistic ability of painting on canvas surfaced when she was very young. Years later, she attended junior college for advanced watercolor instruction. She took watercolor workshops from professional artists, such as Anita Engels, Judi Betts, Linda Baker, and Maggie McClellen.
June enjoys using pastels, oils, and carbon and colored pencils. She paints from photos in her studio, sometimes using several for a composition. Her goal is to draw the viewer into her work simply for pleasure. June lost her leg in an auto accident and spends more time painting now that she’s a wheelchair user.
