Mary Free Bed's new 270,000-square-foot building will include one floor of 48 new, private patient rooms with larger living areas and more family-friendly amenities. This new facility will allow the hospital to serve an additional 3,000 patients annually.
Other clinical features include:
Planning for 167 inpatient beds (currently 80 inpatient beds)
Making application for 39 additional acute rehabilitation beds
48 new skilled nursing beds complete the continuum of rehabilitation care
All patient rooms will be private with private baths
Charting cubicles will be located every six rooms for nurses/ nurse technicians
Specialized therapy gyms will be located on patient floors
Project supports new program development such as The Betty Bloomer Ford Cancer Rehabilitation Program
