Coverage Services
The Coverage Service Department places physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists in more than 60 locations throughout West Michigan. Coverage therapists provide comprehensive treatment to a variety of patients in outpatient, inpatient, sub-acute rehabilitation, acute care, home health, and long-term settings. Ideal candidates have a minimum of two years experience. Our positions offer premium pay and both sign-on and retention bonuses. Metro Health Hospital
Mary Free Bed works closely with Metro Health to provide therapy services for outpatient, inpatient, and rehabilitation units as well as coverage services (physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapists) for Metro Health patients. All therapists at Metro Health are Mary Free Bed employees and receive benefits through Mary Free Bed, but follow Metro Health’s policies and procedures.

Rehab Professionals
In 1996, in an effort to eliminate duplication of services and competition in the Grand Rapids area, Mary Free Bed, Saint Mary’s Health Care, and Agility Health formed RehabPros, a joint-venture company. RehabPros provides outpatient orthopaedic therapy and contract services and is the exclusive provider of these services for each of its three owners. Mary Free Bed places therapists in more than 20 locations throughout West Michigan. Mary Free Bed employees who work for RehabPros receive their compensation and benefits from Mary Free Bed, but follow RehabPros’ policies.
