Physical Therapy Residencies
Clinical Opportunities

Receive mentoring from experienced neurological and/or pediatric rehabilitation therapists.

Receive mentoring from the program's medical directors through hospital rounding, on-site teaching in clinics, private practice, and team conferences.

Observe phenyl neurolysis, EMG procedures, videofluoroscopy swallowing studies, visual and perceptual evaluations, among others.

Receive training in serial casting.

Have access to in-services and conferences hosted and sponsored by Mary Free Bed, including weekly Grand Round presentations and weekly pediatric PT case reviews.

Have access to all the amenities and resources of a state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital, including: OrthoSEAT, orthotics and prosthetics, assistive technology, gait lab, and driver rehabilitation.

For the pediatric residency, receive in-depth training from a developmental perspective to specialized conditions, such as down syndrome, cerebral palsy, torticollis, spina bifida, traumatic brain injury, stroke, sensory integration, and spasticity.

Participate and follow patients through the continuum of care from inpatient rehabilitation to outpatient therapy.
