Mary Free Bed’s Adult Amputee Clinic

After your inpatient stay and outpatient therapy, or if you're new to the community, you may need to come to Mary Free Bed’s Amputee Clinic for evaluations and follow-up care. You'll find that all the services you need access to are available on the Mary Free Bed campus.

At the Amputee Clinic, you’ll see Ben Bruinsma, MD. As Mary Free Bed’s Amputee Program medical director, Dr. Bruinsma provides ongoing amputee rehabilitation management. While at the clinic, you’ll see a rehabilitation nurse, physical and occupational therapists, and a certified prosthetist. Our team of amputee specialists work to integrate patient evaluation, and treatment so your outpatient care is efficient. You can count on your care to be based on ongoing communication, problem solving, and prosthetic adjustment.

Appointments & Insurance

You’ll need to be referred to the clinic by Mary Free Bed or by another outside source. The Amputee Clinic is a preferred provider for most area insurance groups. The clinic is held two times each month on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
