Adapted Sports

Individuals with spinal cord injuries can return, with adaptations, to many leisure time activities. Mary Free Bed's therapeutic recreation specialists offer adaptive sports and recreation clinics to patients who were served at Mary Free Bed as well as to those in the community who would like to resume leisure activities.

The following clinics are currently offered:

Golf

Canoe/Kayak

Rock Climbing

Water Ski

Downhill Ski

Gun and Archery

All clinics are run in collaboration with Kentwood Parks and Recreation. Additionally, the Downhill Ski Clinic is a collaborative effort with Cannonsburg Ski Resort; Hunting Clinic with Hope Network Rehabilitation Services; Rock Climbing Clinic with Grand Valley State University Climb Center.
