The Mary Free Bed ePortal works under the following operating systems:

• Windows XPSP3 (32 or 64 bit)
• Windows Vista (32 or 64 bit)
• Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit)
• IE 7 or newer
• Current Windows and IE updates from Microsoft
• Mac OSX

The ePortal functions currently available for use include:

Remote Access (Windows)

This option is available for Windows. It operates via the Remote Desktop ActiveX component.

Follow the instructions listed on the ePortal to ensure best results. After logging into the ePortal, you’ll see an option titled “MFB Remote Access (Windows) – Setup Instructions.” Follow these steps before choosing this option.

To Use:

Log into the Mary Free Bed ePortal login page using your network username and password.

The default group: 1-ePortal. Use this option unless you were instructed to use one of the other custom portals. Log in using your Mary Free Bed network username and password then click the Log-in button.

Follow the online guide before using this option. After making your selection, you’ll be asked to agree to a few security prompts before receiving a log-on prompt to our remote server. You can then log on and access our standard Windows applications. This option allows for full screen viewing using the option that appears at the top of your browser window after connecting to the remote server.

Remote Access (MAC)

This option works with Mac computers running a current version of the Sun Java browser plug-in from java.com. This option also runs on a Windows machine if the ActiveX version will not run on your computer, or if your computer has security restrictions that keep you from being able to complete the necessary steps to run it.

To Use:

Log into the Mary Free Bed ePortal login page using your network username and password.

The default group: 1-ePortal. Use this option unless you were instructed to use one of the other custom portals. Log in using your Mary Free Bed network username and password then click the log-in button.

These options require that Sun Java is supported on the browser you’re using. Most Macs will have Java loaded as part of the operating system. If not, you can download it from java.com. Select the option that best fits your screen size.

Outlook Web Access

This is a web version of Outlook that works well on most browsers. It allows you to use Outlook without first logging into the Mary Free Bed Remote Access server. This is a less-featured version of Outlook and is available to save time if you need fast access to email only.
