Diamond Lee – A Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Story

Editor’s note: As part of our holiday campaign, Mary Free Bed is asking former patients to tell us about their rehabilitation experience. What follows is one of those stories.

I went to Mary Free Bed after I broke my neck in a car accident.

I loved being there. The nurses and therapists made me feel very comfortable and welcome. They helped me re-learn everything, from eating with silverware to walking.

Therapists Danielle Arnold, Joe Winegar and Starr Sutton really helped me get through it all and I thank them very much. My experience could not have been any better. Also, I loved recreational therapy. I got to learn how to swim!

Learning how to overcome all these things that I once took for granted was a difficult task, but MFB helped me and I will never forget that. Also, the bedside manner from Dr. Rush was fantastic.

It’s not what I expected, but it was just what I needed to get better. Thank You.
