Mary Free Bed ePortal
The MFB ePortal works under the following operating systems:
Windows XPSP3 (32 or 64 bit)
Windows Vista (32 or 64 bit)
Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit)
IE 7 or above
Current Windows and IE updates from Microsoft
The ePortal functions currently available for use include the following:
Remote Access (Windows)
This option is available for Windows users and uses the Remote Desktop ActiveX component to operate.
It's important to follow the instructions listed on the ePortal to avoid poor results. After logging into the ePortal, you'll see an option titled MFB Remote Access (Windows) – Setup Instructions. Follow these steps before choosing this option.
Remote Access (MAC)
This option works with Mac computers that are running a current version of the Sun Java browser plug-in from www.java.com. This option also runs on a Windows machine if the ActiveX version will not run on your computer, or if your computer has security restrictions that keep you from being able to complete the necessary steps to run it.
Outlook Web Access
This is a web version of Outlook that works well on most browsers.
Log into the MFB ePortal login page using your network username and password.
The default group: 1-ePortal. Use this option unless you were instructed to use one of the other custom portals. Login using your MFB network username and password then click the Login button.
MFB Remote Access (Windows)
Follow the online guide before using this option. After selecting it, you'll be asked to agree to a few security prompts before receiving a logon prompt to our remote server. You can then logon and access our standard Windows applications. This option allows for full screen viewing using the option that appears at the top of your browser window after connecting to the remote server.
MFB Remote Access (MAC)
These options require that Sun Java is supported on the browser you are using. Most MAC’s will have JAVA loaded as part of the operating system. If not, you can download it from www.Java.com. Select the option that best fits your screen size.
Outlook Web Access
This option will allow you to use the Web version of Outlook without logging into the MFB Remote Access server first. This is a less featured version of Outlook and is here to save time if you need quicker access to only email.
