Kalkaska Memorial Health Center joins Mary Free Bed Network

Grand Rapids, Mich. – Kalkaska Memorial Health Center and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital have signed an agreement that supports improving the quality of care for patients and enhancing rehabilitation services at Kalkaska Memorial.

The agreement brings Kalkaska Memorial Health Center into the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Network, an innovative alliance of hospitals and providers throughout Michigan. The network was established in 2011 to extend Mary Free Bed’s expertise and specialized services to other settings, creating a seamlessly integrated system of rehabilitative care for patients.

“We are very excited and pleased to enter into this collaboration with Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Network. Mary Free Bed has a great reputation and a wealth of experience serving patients with rehabilitation needs,” said Kevin Rogols, administrator of Kalkaska Memorial Health Center. “Our outpatient rehabilitation services will be enhanced with their help and expertise.”

Kalkaska Memorial Health Center offers a range of outpatient rehabilitation services close to home for the region’s residents. Services include aquatic therapy, hand therapy, lymphedema treatment, occupational therapy, physical therapy, a return to work program and speech therapy.

“We are pleased to welcome Kalkaska Memorial Health Center to the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Network,” said Kent Riddle, CEO of Mary Free Bed. “This group of health care organizations works together to help as many patients as possible have brighter futures after injuries, illnesses or medical procedures.”

The addition of Kalkaska Memorial brings the total of participating organizations to 30.
