Thank you to our volunteers – National Volunteer Appreciation Week 2016

National Volunteer Appreciation Week is here (April 12-18, 2016) and we love to salute the numerous volunteers who help Mary Free Bed every single day. Volunteers help with everything from administration and clerical duties, escorting patients and families, to helping therapists be an extra hand during rehabilitation.

“I am continually amazed and grateful for all that our volunteers do. They contribute to our mission of restoring hope and freedom in so many ways, from assisting in the therapy gyms and pools, greeting new patients and their families, to helping with clerical projects. We would not be able to climb to excellence without them, volunteer coordinator Jared Curley said. “I am astounded as I review the overall numbers from 2015. Last year we had over 270 volunteers give almost 16,000 hours of their time! That’s as much as 8 full time employees. Thank you all!”
