Mary Free Bed Ranked Among Nation’s Best for Second Year in a Row
U.S. News & World Report released its annual list of Best Hospitals for Rehabilitation, and Mary Free Bed was again rated one of the nation’s top providers. Of the 799 rehabilitation organizations evaluated by U.S. News health care analysts, Mary Free Bed is #17 in the United States, again out-scoring rehabilitation providers in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
People turn to rankings like the U.S. News rankings to help determine where to seek treatment after injury or illness.

Mary Free Bed was ranked above the national average for:
- Prevention of readmissions to general acute-care hospitals during rehabilitation stays.
- Prevention of readmissions to general acute-care hospitals following discharge.
- The rate of patients being able to return home.
Mary Free Bed also was ranked very high for the number of patients treated who experienced strokes, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. When it came to advanced technologies and on-site case management, Mary Free Bed was ranked as excellent.
