Otsego Memorial Hospital joins Mary Free Bed Network

Grand Rapids, Mich. – Otsego Memorial Hospital and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital have signed an agreement that supports enhancing rehabilitation care for patients in northern Michigan.

Otsego Memorial Hospital has joined the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Network, an innovative alliance of hospitals and providers throughout Michigan. The network, established in 2011, extends Mary Free Bed’s expertise and specialized services, and creates a seamlessly integrated system of rehabilitative care for patients.

“OMH is excited about the relationship with Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and the access to care and services available through its Network,” said Tom Lemon, CEO of Otsego Memorial. “We know that by expanding our healthcare connections we can bring the best possible services and expertise to our patients.”

The Gaylord, Mich.-based hospital is the 29th organization to join the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Network. Founded in 1951, Otsego Memorial is an independent, fully accredited primary and secondary care facility with more than 600 employees. Otsego Memorial provides health care to 10 communities in its primary service area. It is governed by a 10-member board of directors. It is affiliated with Munson Healthcare in Traverse City, which joined the network in 2015.

“We are pleased to welcome Otsego Memorial Hospital to the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Network,” said Kent Riddle, CEO of Mary Free Bed. “The goal of our Network is to work together to help as many patients as possible have brighter futures after serious injuries, illness or medical procedures.”
