Even after your condition following a stroke has stabilized and your inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation are complete, you can benefit from ongoing therapy in a positive clinical setting. Mary Free Bed’s Outpatient Stroke Clinic doesn’t just address your physical rehabilitation; we also consider your emotional, mental and social needs. Education and family support are vital to what we do, and we work together to ensure your treatment plan truly fits your health and lifestyle.

The clinic is directed by rehabilitation physicians who specialize in treating patients with stroke. These specialists work collaboratively with nurses, therapists and other professionals to provide you holistic and timely care to ensure a quicker recovery and a more positive outcome. Our clinic services are available to graduates of our inpatient program and to those who may be new to the community or who have been referred by other providers.

Stroke Support Group
Our Stroke Support Group provides an educational and fun forum for stroke survivors and family members to meet and learn about adjusting to the lifestyle changes associated with a stroke. Our patients tell us these monthly meetings are an important part of the rehabilitation process. We also celebrate three social events each year: a summer picnic, a spring potluck and a holiday party.

Monthly meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 6:15-7:30 pm. We meet in the Meijer Conference Center in the Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital Professional Building (350 Lafayette Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). Contact Rachel Morse at 616.840.8198.
