The Mary Free Bed YMCA offers a host of opportunities for you to play and exercise with your friends and family. This facility, which opened in December 2015, is the first building in the world to receive Global Universal Design Certification from the Global Universal Design Commission. It will now serve as a global model for inclusion and accessibility for people of all abilities.
To commemorate its 125th anniversary, the Mary Free Bed Guild invested in this project and what it offers to our community.
The 116,200-square-foot LEED-Certified Mary Free Bed YMCA is situated on a 36-acre campus. It features two-and-half gymnasiums, two pools, two group fitness and indoor cycling studios, an indoor track, climbing wall, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, wheelchair softball field, tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, a greenhouse, teaching kitchen, learning farm and access to the Rapid Bus line.
Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation at the YMCA provides on-site therapy to treat a range of orthopedic/musculoskeletal impairments. The health and wellness facility also will serve as a home base for many of the Mary Free Bed Wheelchair & Adaptive Sports teams and clinics.
We are proud to partner with The Y, West Michigan’s leading nonprofit organization that is strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
