Thank you for your interest in the Mary Free Bed Guild Fund. The following questionnaire will assist you in submitting your request for funding. 

Application Information

Mary Free Bed Guild Fund Mission:

The Mary Free Bed Guild Fund supports the charitable, scientific, and educational purposes and missions of the Mary Free Bed Guild and its subsidiaries. The Mary Free Bed Guild Fund also supports community organizations and activities whose focus is on the education, recreation, health, and well-being of the disabled population in western Michigan.

Grant Amounts:

Grants up to $20,000 will be considered. A limited number of projects/programs may be considered for larger grants.

Grant Request Guidelines:

Consideration is given to requests that fulfill the following:

  • Involve people with disabilities
  • Demonstrate a direct relationship with the Guild Fund Mission Statement
  • Serve those in Michigan
  • The fund provides support to tax exempt charitable organizations for facilities, research, education and treatment which will contribute to the care, quality of life and improvement of services for physically affected persons.
  • Grant proposals which include funding from other sources are strongly encouraged.
  • If your request is part of a capital campaign for a larger project/program, please be specific as to how this request aligns with the Mary Free Bed Guild mission and the portion of the project/program you would like the Mary Free Bed Guild Fund to support, and the costs associated. In addition, please note what type of recognition would be available.
Evaluation of Requests
  • Each request receives careful attention. When questions arise, the applicant may be contacted for further information.
  • Requests and ALL required documentation must be received by the application deadlines:
    • December 1 – for January review
    • September 1 – for October review

  2. Budget breakdown of the requested program or project including: 
    • Items/project expenses
    • Other income sources
    • Total Amount requested
    • Total amount of program or project
    • Current and/or past year program or project budget (if available)
