Allan Kozlowski named new Director of Outcomes Research at Mary Free Bed, joins MSU College of Human Medicine Faculty
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Allan Kozlowski will lead outcomes research in the John F. Butzer Center for Research & Innovation at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital. The role is a joint appointment by Mary Free Bed and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Kozlowski also will serve as an assistant professor in the MSU Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
“Al brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Mary Free Bed research team that will enable us to perform high-quality outcomes research to drive re-engineering of the post-acute process of care,” said Kent Riddle, CEO of Mary Free Bed. “His expertise in exoskeleton-assisted walking for people with spinal cord injuries will be greatly beneficial to our patient population.”
Kozlowski earned a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He most recently was an assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
