Mary Free Bed rated among nation’s best

Grand Rapids, Mich. – U.S. News & World Report released its list of Best Hospitals for Rehabilitation, and Mary Free Bed is rated one of the nation’s top providers. Of the 1,083 rehabilitation organizations evaluated by U.S. News health care analysts, Mary Free Bed is #17 in the United States and out-scored rehabilitation providers in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.

U.S. News & World Report officials create the health rankings to help patients as they determine where to receive treatment.

Mary Free Bed rated above the national average for:

  • Prevention of readmissions to general acute-care hospitals during rehabilitation stays.
  • Prevention of readmissions to general acute-care hospitals following discharge.
  • The rate of patients being able to return home.

Mary Free Bed also was rated very high for the number of patients treated who experienced strokes, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.
