Our doctors, nurses, therapists, care managers and other specialists are ready to help you recover as much independence and function as humanly possible following a lengthy illness or hospital stay.
Our teams regularly work with people who are physically debilitated so we know how to help you turn your fatigue and physical weakness into stamina and strength. This starts with knowledge. We’ll help you and your family find the answers to your many questions.
Not only will our medical experts be available to help, but you’ll be introduced to patients and former patients who are going through a similar experience. Our patients tell us this peer support and camaraderie is an invaluable part of their rehabilitation.
Our new hospital building has features to make your stay with us both comfortable and productive:
• A spacious, private room, making it easy to find a quiet place to spend time with your family and ensuring your privacy whenever you need it
• A large therapy gym, located near your room, that’s equipped with technology to help you and other deconditioned patients maximize your potential
• Ceiling-mounted ambulation systems that will ease your fear of falling while in a weakened state, allowing you and your therapists to instead focus on your recovery and success
• Lots of social spaces for you and your family to enjoy, many with terrific views of downtown Grand Rapids. Click to see 360-degree virtual tours of our specialized facilities.
When your inpatient stay is over and you become a Mary Free Bed “graduate,” you can continue therapy as an outpatient. In fact, we’ll be here to offer follow-up services for as long as you need us. In addition to therapy offered in our Outpatient Therapy Center, here are some of the unique services we offer:
This scope of services is unique in the region to Mary Free Bed.
