Your Experience

Your team has extensive experience working with patients with injuries and conditions similar to your own. They will be with you throughout the entire process.

We focus on assisting you to regain and maintain physical, cognitive and emotional functioning. Rehabilitation will take many forms from the moment you wake up until you lay down to rest for the night. All aspects of daily life become part of your rehabilitation process.

Our hospital has been designed to produce outstanding rehabilitation experiences. By carefully locating services and technology, we provide more efficient and effective orthopedic therapy and treatment. Multiple therapy gyms are located on your floor as is a small apartment where you can practice skills for going home. Extensive ceiling-mounted technology is available to help you safely and comfortably practice walking without fear of falling.

You’ll have a bright and cheerful private room with a large bathroom, sleeper sofa and 42-inch flat panel television. The surroundings are engineered to be quiet to allow plenty of rest. Multiple social spaces on your floor and throughout the hospital provide comfortable places to meet with family and friends or to take a few moments for yourself. Our clinical experts help you understand your condition and learn ways to adapt activities. Former patients and their families play a huge role, too. We’ll introduce you to folks who have similar injuries or conditions. Patients tell us this peer support and camaraderie is an invaluable part of their rehabilitation.

When your inpatient stay is over, and you become a Mary Free Bed “graduate,” you can continue receiving therapy through our outpatient program. We’ll be here to offer continued follow-up services for as long as you need us. This continuum of care is unique in the region to Mary Free Bed.
