Physiatrist joins Mary Free Bed Medical Group
Grand Rapids, Mich. — Mary Free Bed Medical Group is pleased to introduce Carolyn F. Vollmer, MD, as a physiatrist working primarily in the Spine Center.
Areas of focus and sub-specialization include occupational medicine/work-related injuries, interventional spine procedures, musculoskeletal conditions, sports medicine and women’s health.
Dr. Vollmer is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine and completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of California, Los Angeles. She received additional fellowship training in interventional spine physiatry at the University of Michigan. She takes a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation and believes whole body wellness is key for pain management and functional restoration.
Dr. Vollmer enjoys mentoring, teaching and working with medical students and residents as faculty at the MSU College of Human Medicine.
