As an independent, freestanding rehabilitation hospital, Mary Free Bed maintains partnerships with area graduate medical education (GME) institutions. Residents from our program spend time at their institutions, and vice versa.

Mary Free Bed residents have the opportunity to rotate with the following area institutions:

- Trinity Health Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, Michigan)
- Pine Rest Mental Health Services (Grand Rapids, Michigan)

Grand Rapids Transitional Year Programs
Grand Rapids has two transitional year programs. Many of our residents have trained within these programs, and our program maintains good relationships with area transitional year program leadership.
