Salary + Benefits
Mary Free Bed provides a competitive salary and benefits program. Resident salary increases with year of training in the program, with annual salaries reviewed and approved by our institution’s Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC).
Resident salaries for the 2023-2024 Academic Year are as follows:
- PGY-2: $62,439
- PGY-3: $63,950
- PGY-4: $65,772
Residents are given 20 days of paid time off and 7 holidays per year – residents on-call on a holiday receive another day of leave at their choosing.

Benefits include short-term and long-term disability insurance (employer paid), a multitude of health insurance policies to choose from, dental and vision insurance, life insurance (employer paid), retirement 403(b) (with employer contribution), and flexible spending accounts (FSA).
